Store A in Beijing sold fake Japanese sake under a famous Japanese brand. Investigator, through tracking and monitoring, investigating the logistics company, sending another investigator to working for the logistics company, and other means, found out that Store A bought goods from an underground production site B located in Hu’nan Province. Thereafter, investigator continuously monitored B and discovered that fake Japanese sake was produced at B. B, after purchasing sake produced in China from Company C in Hebei Province and purchasing caps printed with Niigata sake from Company D in Shandong Province and purchasing packing cartons from a neighboring printer, disguised the domestically produced sake as Japanese sake.
Regional rectification case
Product involved: Garment accessories
In 2013, investigator conducted a concentrated investigation in Hebei Province and found out that a lot of enterprises and individuals in the region were producing and selling the garment accessories under a famous Japanese brand. After authorization by right owner, investigator conducted a detailed investigation in the region and selected 14 infringers out of about 100 targets and obtained samples for identification by right owner. Identification showed that all samples were fake. Thereafter, investigator selected 10 major targets and organized a large-scale regional rectification campaign. On the same day, local public security authority joined hands with local administrations for industry and commerce at various levels in cracking down on the 10 targets by seizing a lot of fake products and several sets of molds, causing a sensation locally.
Non-local criminal case
Product involved: Communication equipment
Through investigation as authorized by right owner, investigator found out that Company A in Shenzhen was selling fake infringing products. Tracking and monitoring showed that Company A frequently had repeatedly sold fake infringing products to several stores in Shanghai. In order to avoid local protectionism, investigator lodged a complaint to Shanghai Public Security Bureau which, after receiving the complaint, arrested the infringers in both Shanghai and Shenzhen and learnt that the production factory was in Fujian Province, so they sent policemen to Fujian and arrested the principal of the factory. This case involved different places of product circulation and production. The legal representative and sales manager of the factory as well as owners and managers of several wholesale stores were detained. This case was rated by the Ministry of Public Security as one of the top 10 classic cases in 2010. The legal representative of the factory was sentenced to 9 months in prison and fined RMB 15,000 in addition to confiscation of all illegal gains; owners of wholesales stores were warned, detained, sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment and fined in addition to confiscation of all illegal gains.
Exhibition investigation and crackdown case

As authorized by right owner, investigator conducted a comprehensive investigation into the 19th Dental South China International Expo in 2014, and checked about one hundred exhibition booths. Finally, investigator discovered over 10 infringing enterprises and collected relevant evidence before lodging a complaint to the competent administration for industry and commerce and the expo organizer, which instantly inspected the infringing booths, seized infringing products and promotional materials, etc., and made them sign letters of guarantee that they would not attend the expo ever again.
Market clean-up case

As authorized by right owner, investigator investigated several stationery wholesale markets in cities like Nanjing, Kunshan, Suzhou, Wuxi, Yangzhou, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Yiwu, Huzhou, Hefei, etc., and discovered that a large number of stores were selling stationery products under a famous Japanese brand, so investigator lodged a complaint to local administrations for industry and commerce, quality and technical supervision bureaus, etc., while jointly cracking down on several stores in the market by seizing a large quantity of infringing products, which caused sensations in the industry. Through three years of market clean-up, a lot of fake stationery products have disappeared from the market, effectively constraining the circulation and spread of infringing products.
